hkc Children’s Foundation

sozialesHelp that reaches its goal! Since 2010, hkc Children’s Foundation, under the leadership of the foundation’s chair, Marc Hackmann, has been working to improve the quality of life for children in South America.

Whether scholarships for young girls, self-sufficiency for entire towns or the construction of a school in the Andes: We help primarily with future-oriented projects and build on the experience and infrastructure of the children’s charity Plan International. Helping others help themselves is the maxim of our partner’s Plan and of course it is ours, too.

Most recently, the project “Scholarships for Girls in Yunchará” was successfully realised in Bolivia. With our help it was possible on-site to provide disadvantaged girls with access to an advanced school. In spite of improvements in the Bolivian school systems, only around 15 per-cent of all girls attend primary school. Politicians and authorities in Bolivia already known that education is the route to a self-determined life, especially for young women. But a foundational change is only possible with concrete inducements for families and communities on-site.

The hkc Children’s Foundation can be supported through donations or bequests. You can find more information about our projects and the ways you can help concretely on the homepage of the hkc Children’s Foundation.
